	This year our Lent series will commence on Thursday 21 February, each week until Thursday 13 March 2008, at 7.15pm for a prompt 7.30pm start at the church, Augustine United, George IV Bridge, Edinburgh, EH1 1EL. Each week will include time for worship, prayer and group discussion. Small groups are a fantastic way to get to know people within the church, and to journey alongside others in your spiritual walk. It would be helpful if you let Cameron know if you intended to come along to this group, either for some or all of the sessions. 	About the Small Groups
	Do you want to get to know people at MCC Edinburgh? Are you asking questions about your faith as a ‘queer’ person living in Scotland today? Are you seeking to develop your spiritual life in a healthy and respectful environment? If the answer to any, or all of these questions is YES, then small groups at MCC Edinburgh is just what you need! The small groups meet for a set number of weeks, usually around 6 weeks on one specific topic, throughout the year. The groups meet in Edinburgh, in a variety of venues including people’s homes and at the church building. The groups are facilitated by members of the small group ministry team. The small groups combine prayer, bible study and discussion in a creative, interesting way. The groups seek to build community through shared discussion on topics of interest to us as queer Christians today. These topics in the past have ranged from the challenges of faith to a study based around the book of Colossians. At all times, the small groups encourage sharing and discussion in a respectful and confidential environment. The small groups are open to everyone, and can really be a place of encouragement, refreshment and support.
